Houston food guru to be knighted by France


We already know that culinary superstars Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller and Jerome Bocuse will be coming to Houston this month to cook for the Harris County Sheriff's Office Foundation. (And if you don't already have tickets, you're out of luck: The $2,500-per-seat dinner has been sold out for weeks.)

But one more piece of good news has emerged about the weekend visit. Marie LeNôtre, the founder and director of Houston's Culinary Institute LeNôtre, will be awarded the French Knight of the National Order of Merit Medal on Sept. 28 during a ceremony at the institute.
